How is your organization responding to the pressure to embrace a flexible and casual work environment that nurtures employee satisfaction, fosters career development and encourages a healthy work-life balance?

I know it isn’t easy to offer a premier client experience or product, implement a growth strategy and take care of your staff’s individual and professional ambitions. I understand what it takes to reshape a company’s emotional intelligence quotient (EQ) at an organizational and individual level. It can feel new and overwhelming for all involved.

I’m Cynthia Greenfield, and I founded Culture Keen to support business leaders who want to revitalize their workplace to improve the organization’s overall health. This frequently involves:

Identifying, clarifying and prioritizing business objectives.

Inviting stakeholders and employees to collaborate on strategic goals and organizational direction to become part of the company’s future success.

Teaming up to build a roadmap that meet everyone’s needs.

How do we start that discovery?
What actions do leaders need to take?

I partner with your senior leaders to identify the obstacles to your company’s success.

Often, we discover that employee attrition, disconnection between leadership and employees, and lack of enthusiasm or passion for the company’s mission are the result of miscommunication between people, departments and the layers of management.

Reimagining how we work together is vital for companies that want to grow, compete with market disrupters, retain valuable employees and attract top talent.”

What I Offer

I research your employees’ opinions to uncover what they love and to find gaps in their overall satisfaction.

My approach to employee surveys is unconventional. Rather than ask people to rate others, we ask participants to reflect inward and evaluate their experiences, connection and contribution to the company’s mission and goals.

My objective is to identify the opportunities to increase employee engagement and happiness to make the most significant difference to your business.

Then I design and execute programs to help individuals and teams adapt, change how they interact, employ new management techniques and ultimately foster feelings of belonging and connection.

My Career Highlights

Before I started Culture Keen, I spent more than 13 years in leadership positions in the fintech and financial services industries. The threads connecting all my roles include a belief in the power of healthy communication and the need for a workplace environment that allows people to develop the connections that make businesses successful.

I’ve facilitated offsite All-Hands retreats, team training, and one-on-one coaching to help employees communicate and enjoy their time at work.

I was the Chief Experience Officer for Private Ocean, a West coast-based wealth management firm that managed over $2.7 billion dollars in assets for high-net-worth individuals.

As the company’s “in-house coach” I was responsible for developing a healthy leadership, nurturing an infectious culture, and acting as an advisor to growth, marketing, client success and positive community impact.

Through strategic culture-enhancing programs and the help and commitment of my co-workers at every level of the company, we were awarded Best Place to Work in the RIA industry by Investment News in 2022.

Bringing people together as a cohesive organization following a merger or acquisition isn’t something that just happens. It takes deliberate planning and proactive nurturing.

As a senior executive, I’ve been an integral part of the due diligence team for several mergers and acquisitions and managed the people aspect of these transactions. In fact, I’ve been on every side of the deal—the buyer, the seller, the acquired. I  had to integrate to a new team, have led a new firm to integrate with us and walked away after a deal.

To share my real-world experiences and solutions in this field, I co-authored a book with Greg Friedman, Integrating Culture in Successful RIA Mergers and Acquisitions

a book about RIA M&As

The people side of M&A and the post-deal human dynamics are a crucial but frequently overlooked opportunity and source of organizational pain.
